Training, Supervision & Expert Reports

Training

Between us we have over thirty years of experience in delivering teaching and training. This includes teaching at University Doctorate level.

We provide a series of professional development training programmes / workshops for professionals. For example, workshops on understanding Borderline Personality Disorder and using psychological strategies to work with relationships that are challenging.

We also design bespoke training packages for organisations requiring staff training in a wide range of areas (including Enhancing communication within an organisation, listening skills, counselling skills, mental health awareness, bereavement skills, assertiveness etc).

We offer training in all aspects of psychological skills related to health and well-being, to the full range of Health and Social Care workers, Occupational Health and Human Resources in work environments and for mental health forums and charities.

We can offer skill based training, including recognising and working with psychological distress, promoting well being, working with motivation, dealing with traumatic events, working with challenging behaviours, and conflict resolution.

Supervision

We can offer skill based training, including recognising and working with psychological distress, promoting well being, working with motivation, dealing with traumatic events, working with challenging behaviours, and conflict resolution.

We can provide pre and post qualification level supervision to counsellors, psychologists & neuropsychologists (QiCN). We provide supervisory support to specialist nurses, occupational health departments or other providers dealing with health and well-being issues.

Supervisory experience includes supervising those who work in the fields of adult mental health, primary care, physical health neuropsychology, autism, women's health, mental health rehabilitation, learning disabilities and other specialist health providers.

Normally, one to one supervision is provided but group or team supervision can be arranged if required.

We also offer telephone supervision and supervision via Skype.

We are also available to work one to one to assist people who may be struggling within their work environment.

Peer support

Not everyone who uses our services has significant mental health or emotional problems. People may just want support around a work issue/conflict resolution, or when a life event occurs that feels particularly challenging and hard to understand. Peer support is not therapy but meeting with a psychologist means that they will have access to a wide range of knowledge and strategies to help you achieve your goals.

Expert Reports

Areas of work undertaken include adult mental health assessment, personal injury assessment, negligence, neuropsychological assessment, recommendations and rehabilitation strategies, and mental capacity assessment.

Assessments are routinely undertaken at our clinics around mid and north Wales but other venues may be agreed.

Assessment appointments are normally provided within 14 days of instruction.

Please feel free to contact for an initial / informal discussion of your requirements.
